Thaddeus Bradley Mastermind
Arthur Tressler uses Thaddeus Bradley to enact his revenge against the Horseman in both of the films, Now You See Me and its sequel. Arthur is Thaddeus's source.
- in the first movie, Arthur Tressler paid Thaddeus Bradley double if Bradley agreed to expose the Horsemen
- in the sequel, Arthur Tressler was seen giving money to Thaddeus Bradley for Dylan Rhodes' whereabouts after Dylan was dropped into the ocean like his dad
From the first movie
Thaddeus Bradley: This is a magic trick, Mr. Tressler. Played out on global scale. You sir are the abracadabra - the distraction - while they set up the real trick.
Tressler: I was a $140 million dollar distraction?
Bradley: Yes. And that very ego that got you involved in the first place is what is keeping you from seeing that.
Tressler: You know -
Bradley: "I can destroy you." Yes, I do know. Well, you won't. And you won't destroy them. Whatever this grand trick, it was designed a long time ago. And I believe what's about to come is really going to amaze.
From the second movie
Dylan: I put you in jail, man. Why didn't you say something then?
Thaddeus: Well, you know, I was going to but then you were quick to show your personal motivation that ... well frankly, it spoiled the trick for me.
Dylan: I showed my weakness.
Thaddeus: Well, it showed you weren't ready. But when you came back to my cell, you had let go of your 30 year vendetta against me for your Horsemen. And I said to myself, "That's Lionel's boy." And I knew it was my job to see to it that he became the magician he was born to be. All that was left then was
Dylan: For me to hit bottom? So the safe, my father's wristwatch, that was all you.
Let's talk about the deleted scenes from Now You See Me. I paid for the extended cut of the film, so I saw some of the deleted scenes.
Thaddeus Bradley: Operating on a special plane because of the Eye? I heard it's a lovely place. Lots of star shine and moonbeam. Make any magician's wish come true. You come along way much further than anyone would have expected of a bunch of wanna-be and has-beens.
