Observations

Image
Police procedurals tended to have newbies joining the team Numb3rs:  David Sinclair (season 1 - black guy); Colby Granger (season 2); Megan Reeves (season 2 - woman) CSI: NY: Lindsey Monroe (season 2 - woman) after Aiden left FBI: International: Cameron Vo (season 1 - woman) Numb3rs ' female cast tended to not stick around behavior analyst (Terry Lake) left at end of season 1 left she was replaced by Megan Reeves (who left in season 4) Liz Warner joined in season 3 but I felt like her actress was guest cast early on Amita was only one to stick around but why do I feel like she was guest cast early on as well I always liked foreign humor and slapstick humor and sex jokes.   FBI: International had foreign detective from season 1, episode 7 saying "Asylum?  What is that - an energy drink?"  Creative joke.

Numb3rs

Image
Numb3rs had interesting dialogue in the police procedural "common sense to not wave stick in front of crocodile" (Ash's Totodile biting Ash on the head - it's on my social media accounts - should help you remember) calculating stopping distance from mass and velocity (Charlie described as math problem while I thought it was physics problem too) from the train crash episode ("36 hours") was talking about script writing software which one of the leads, Rob Morrow, has been working on ("Where's Credit Due") For "36 Hours", I pointed out a train crash did happen in real life in California - Metrolink crash in 2008 in September.  Airing an episode about a train crash when a train crash happened in real life is probably not good idea, so the episode was pushed several episodes later.  One of the actors did film a disclaimer at the beginning of the episode.  I wished my mom who passed away understood trains - like Amtrak - have long stoppin...

CSI: NY 333 Storyline

Image
I wanted to talk about CSI: NY 's season 4 storyline, the 333 stalker.  I wondered how Mac's stalker, Drew Bedford, knew Mac's hotel rooms he was staying in's phone number cell phone's # office's phone # office location I guess he used Stella's office card to guess Mac's office number and office location to call him and leave the luggage with the bloody t-shirt.  He could have called the area hotels and asked if Mac Taylor was staying in one of the rooms. The bloody t-shirt belonged to Will, Andy's brother who died.  The chalk outline was of Will, and the newspaper satchel belonged to Will.  The dead body was Bobby Toole - the man who killed Will.

Cold Case Musings

Image
I am reviewing  Cold Case , the CBS show about cold cases the Philadelphia homicide detectives worked on.  Spoilers alert.  I first saw the show on HBO Max but found roku had the full episodes for free, so rewatched the show. Season 1, Episode 3 - "Our Boy is Back" The perp had to be brave bragging to the police that he's back in Philadelphia raping women.  I think he wanted to get caught because of his demons. Season 2 Scotty was humping his coworker's sister, Christina.  I'm not sure I would be brave enough to hump family members of my coworkers. Season 3, Episode 23 - "Joseph" The chemistry / scene between Lily Rush and her partner, Scotty Valens, when Scotty is at Lily's home after she called in sick was awkward at the end.
