Tipsy review of Final Destination movie

Image
I decided to do something different and went to Alamo Draft House.  I ordered a beer and chips and paid for a movie, Final Destination Bloodlines .  I give it 6 out of 10 on scary factor.   Some of the scary things weren't scary to me including the jump scares.   I probably seen too many explosions in Mythbusters so the explosion at the end didn't faze me.  Blood is more gross than horrifying.

Quantico

Image
Most people seemed surprised that Liam O'Connor played by Josh Hopkins was the terrorist at the end of Quantico season 1. Blind to bad behavior.  I wasn't terribly surprised because his character was a drunk (Miranda commented in the pilot episode if Lam fell asleep in a bar, and he got drunk in Guilty ). Natalie's dialog in Guilty  also convinced me when she tells Liam, "Sir, with respect, when the people you trust are all on one side, and you're the only one on other side.  What does that make you?"

Pokemon scalpers and lawsuits

Image
Pokemon is kids franchise known for lawsuits and scalpers.  ninetendo (Pokemon video game maker) is suing Palworld (game been called Pokemon with guns).  Pokemon merchandise can get sold out on official store and expensive on third party websites (ebay, Amazon, etc).  I decided to get the sleeping plush from target because ebay had $1-$2 price difference for cheaper one (not worth it personally).

Foggy Pointe

Image
I got disability money. I'm willing to spend money on my own ideas. This is the summary for my fantasy short story collection: Foggy Point is a foggy town on an island in the middle of a lake frequently home to monster summonings.  Emma Stormchild must juggle being the director at a museum and the various monsters that get summoned.  Most of this is saved in my Google documents.   The stories are written.   I tend to do well in fan fiction my best stories are Scooby Doo and Naruto (all original) - people are favoriting my stories and putting alerts in case I guess continue  Pokemon is original but hit or miss my crossover is original but is hit or miss - I'm scared to look at the statistics and reviews for that story

Pokemon repetitions

Image
I found repetitions annoying as a kid but can tolerate it better as an adult.  I watched it live on broadcast TV as a kid versus fast-forwarding through repetitive portions on streaming sites.  For Brock always falling in love, I wrote an alternative storyline in my fanfic as an adult.

Pokemon and Digimon

Image
Pokemon tended to go after games based on its franchise (ripoffs).  Palworld (basically Pokémon with guns) and Nintendo had some legal issues surrounding patents.  Try to make it creative but not rip off something else. Pokemon and Digimon were different.  Digimon had evolutions that were temporary before they revert back to lower stage but Pokemon evolutions were permanent.  Digimon was the digital world connected to the real world so the characters have stakes like Digimon Tamers and Digimon Adventure 2020.  Pokemon was set in fictional world.

Pokemon Hoopa

Image
Moral of movie: You can't destroy family.  It was battle between Hoopa and itself to understand family. I seen the trailer and said I got to watch the battle among the legendaries from different generations like Lugia (generation 2); Rayquazza and the Eon Twins (generations 3) plus Groudon and Kyorge.  When you got legendaries fighting legendaries, next logical conclusion was to pit multiple legendaries against each other and mega evolve them and etc. Team Rocket didn't do their mottos in the movie.  If they did, I would fast-forward since I'm watching online since I know who they are.
